Let’s Play Football to provide coverage of youth football through GSFL
Let’s Play Football is proud to announce a partnership with the Gopher State Football League heading into the 2025 football season.
The Gopher State Football League is under the direction of Minnesota Youth Athletic Services and will serve as the organizational structure for youth football programs throughout the metro and greater Minnesota.
Let’s Play Football is a statewide media platform that covers football at all levels throughout the state. They recently released “The Program,” videos featuring four high school programs from around the state as well as “Planting The Flag,” a video highlighting the beginning of girls flag football in Minnesota.
“We are excited to join forces with MYAS and the Gopher State Football league to now expand our coverage more into youth football,” said LPF editor Bryan Zollman. “The youth football programs are the foundation and the breeding ground for every high school program in the state and we want to be there to cover the action and highlight the players, coaches, officials and volunteers who make it a success.”

The Gopher State Football League is committed to growing the game at the youth level.
“The launch of the Gopher State Football League (GSFL) marks a significant milestone for community-based youth football in Minnesota,” said Dawson Blanck, MYAS Executive Director and GSFL Managing Director. “This league was created to strengthen and unify youth football associations across the Twin Cities and beyond, while prioritizing safety, development, and sportsmanship. With over 180 teams, 750 games, 700 coaches, and more than 100 trained officials in its inaugural year, the GSFL is more than a league — it is a movement that celebrates the power of community-based programming, collaboration, and character-building through the great game of football.”

The Gopher State Football League hosted a kickoff event Sept. 6-7 at the National Sports Center highlighting dozens of youth football teams. They will also host the Blaine Football Classic Oct. 17-19 in Blaine, featuring dozens more youth football teams and programs.
Blanck added: “Through this collaboration with Let’s Play Football, the GSFL will amplify and elevate stories from the field, highlight outstanding team performances, and give families, fans, and communities across the state a chance to connect more deeply with Minnesota’s youth football experience.”
